b.) it pushes the resins back up in the opposite direction. "Pushing" serves two functions: a.) it tightens up the screen so it won't slide back when a hit is inhaled and. The chopstick is used to push the brillo from one end of the pipe to the other. The lighter is necessary to burn the initial gunk off the brillo/screen before use.

The copper brillo is the screen that holds and burns the crack and crack resins. (also available at the local liquor store)Ĥ.) Small chopstick, or section of rifle cleaning rod. Once the base has been ground off, you have a hollow glass tube with with one thread end (where the cap used to be). They DO, however, sell sell car deoderizers in long glass tube-like bottles, and although these bottles have a base to them and are NOT hollow, they can be easily MADE hollow and modified into a crack pipe.Ī.) Buy the car deoderizer and take it home.ī.) Remove the cap and empty the contents from the bottle.Ĭ.) Remove any tags or stickers from the glass.ĭ.) Rinse and dry the inside of the blass bottle.Į.) When the bottle has been thoroughly rinsed and dried, use a belt sander or a gringing wheel to grind off the base of the bottle. You'll find that many liquor stores no longer stock them.
Since I wrote this almost two years ago, state and federal law enforcement agencies have come down hard on places that sell glass tubes.
If you're curious about as to how a crack pipe is made I offer the following for your information:ġ.) Hollow glass tube (available at your local liquor store) Use a small chopstick or section of rifle cleaning rod to compress the screen at one end of the glass, then push it back down a bit to allow for your rock. Wad the screen up into an elongated roll. and when it cools (which will also happan rapidly) it will have changed from a gold color to a GRAY color. You'll see the smoke come off the screen. Using a metal fork, hold the brillo sheet over a lighter flame for a few seconds until it turns red hot. The brillo contains impurities which must be burnt off. This is called a "Straight Shooter" or "Stem."Ī screen is made by taking a copper brillo pad (also conveniently available the same liquor store) and cutting a small square (about 1 1/2 inch).
